O UB Entrevista de hoje é na verdade apenas um complemento da matéria sobre Martin Barre, Adam Wakeman, Dee Palmer e os 50 anos do Jethro Tull em Curitiba ocorrido no último dia 06 de março.
Dificilmente pedidos de entrevista são concedidos no dia dos espetáculos e a generosidade dos artistas em atender os jornalistas – assim como os fãs – após o show, acaba variando de pessoa pra pessoa.
A conversa com Adam Wakeman foi mais uma brincadeira em relação ao lançamento de seu novo álbum Jazz Sabbath – projeto em que reinterpreta as músicas do Black Sabbath em arranjos jazzísticos.
Isso porque o material de divulgação do álbum era constituído por um “documentário” em que Wakeman, interpretando o fictício músico Milton Keanes, é entrevistado por Robert Powell, contando como seu disco de estreia foi engavetado nos anos 60 após um enfarte – sendo supostamente plagiado pelos músicos do Black Sabbath logo em seguida.
O álbum, que será lançado em 10 de abril, é o material recuperado por Keanes, que esperou 50 anos para ver a luz do dia.
Já Martin Barre, extremamente assediado na saída do evento, respondeu apenas a uma pergunta, ficando de fora, obviamente, qualquer assunto sobre as recentes declarações de Ian Anderson sobre o Jethro Tull.

Adam Wakeman – Sim! Bem, eu só posso responder como Milton Keanes, claro. Porque eu estou ajudando Milton a se certificar de que sua história seja contada.
UB – Sim, eu vi o video e fiquei impressionado… Como uma banda gigantesca como o Black Sabbath copiou o Jazz Sabbath assim?
Milton Keanes – Eu sei… é uma realidade assustadora [o que acontecia na] música nos anos sessenta… Sabe, é apenas uma… é uma tragédia, mas a história está sendo contada. E isso é uma boa notícia.
UB – Certamente. E como os estúdios deixavam isso rolar? Quanta grana fizeram com isso?
MK – Eu sei! E estou muito amargo com tudo isso. Como um homem de 73 anos, eu sou muito amargo.
UB – Ok. Muito obrigado então.
MK – Sem problema, obrigado.

The maneuvers necessary to get some words with international stars
Today's UB Interview is actually just a complement to the article about Martin Barre, Adam Wakeman, Dee Palmer and the 50th anniversary of Jethro Tull in Curitiba on the last 06th.
Interview requests are hardly granted on the day of the shows and the generosity of the artists to meet the journalists – as well as the fans – after the show, ends up varying from person to person.
First, the conversation with Adam Wakeman was a joke in relation to the release of his new album Jazz Sabbath – a project in which he reinterprets Black Sabbath songs in jazz arrangements.
That's because the album's promotional material consisted of a “documentary” in which Wakeman, playing the fictional musician Milton Keanes, is interviewed by Robert Powell, telling how his debut album was shelved in the 60’s after a heart attack – being allegedly plagiarized by the Black Sabbath musicians shortly thereafter.
The album, which will be released on April 10th, is the material recovered by Keanes and which waited 50 years to see the light of day.
Martin Barre, who was extremely requested at the end of the event, answered only one question, leaving out, obviously, any matter about Ian Anderson's recent statements about Jethro Tull.

Adam Wakeman – Yes! Well, I can only answer as Milton Keanes, of course. Because I’ll be helping Milton make sure that his story is told.
UB – Yeah, I saw the video and I was amazed… how come a huge band like Black Sabbath ripped off Jazz Sabbath?
Milton Keanes – I know… it’s a frightening reality [what happened in] music in the sixties… you know, it’s just a… it’s a tragedy, but the story is being told. So that’s good news.
UB – Yeah. And how the studios let this go? How much money did they make?
MK – I know! I’m very bitter about it! As a 73 year old man, I’m very bitter.
UB – Ok. Thank you very much.
MK – No worries, thank you.
